How should I take MoviPrep? http://www.drugs.com/moviprep.html
Take MoviPrep exactly as it was prescribed for you. Do not take the medication in larger amounts, or take it for longer than recommended by your doctor. Follow the directions on your prescription label.Do not take MoviPrep if it has been less than 2 hours since you last ate solid food. For best results, take the medicine 3 to 4 hours after you last ate.
Do not add any flavorings to this medicine, such as sugar, honey, artificial sweetener, fruit juices, or other beverages.Chilling the medicine in a refrigerator may make it taste better. Shake the liquid well just before you measure a dose. Drink this medicine in the exact portions at the exact time intervals prescribed by your doctor.
MoviPrep will produce watery diarrhea. Keep taking the medicine until your stool is watery and clear. In most cases, at least 3 liters of MoviPrep is needed for the full effect.
The usual dose of the medication is 8 ounces every 10 minutes. Drink each portion as quickly as possible, rather than sipping it slowly. The first watery stool should appear within 1 hour after you start drinking MoviPrep. You may be instructed not to drink or eat anything before your medical test or procedure. Follow your doctor's instructions about the type and amount of liquids you should drink for at least 24 hours before and after your test or procedure.
Throw away any MoviPrep you have not used within 48 hours after it was mixed.

I had the fleet stuff the first two times and could barely take it. I would cramp up, be nauseous and feel like vomiting. Yesterday I took the Movi prep and it was so much better. The taste is tolerable and I had no cramping or nauseous feelings at all. I had my colonoscopy this morning and feel much better than I did previously. The physician and his staff said the Movi prep is getting very good reviews and results.

I hope this will help. I just finished the movi prep and my wife, who is a pharmacist, did a lot of research and it helped me a great deal. The key for me was getting the prep cold. I mixed it well ahead of time but less than 24 hours per the instructions. I refrigerated the movi prep and also used a chilled mug to make it colder for drinking. The first 8 oz. I made the mistake of guzzling it. I felt a little squeamish with slight nausea.
The remaining 8 oz glasses, I used a straw and drank it over about a two minute period. Much better with no ill feelings. The second batch of movi prep did not chill as long so the first 8 oz. did not go down as well since it was not as cold. The remainder I simply dropped a few pieces of ice in it. Everything went very well after that.

I did the Moviprep a couple of weeks ago for a routine colonoscopy, 50 years old don't ya know. It was okay. bobcorn's advise on making it early in the day and refrigerating the solution is right on! I used a straw and sipped the 1 liter Moviprep slowly over about a one hour period, taking a sip of ginger ale right after to knock down the salty aftertaste. The ginger ale complimented the pseudo lemon-lime taste of the Moviprep well. No nausea, though it did seem like the Moviprep sat heavy on the stomach for a while.
In between sips I paced around rather than sit and focus on the gunk, watching TV and working on a crossword puzzle ... anything to take the mind off it, plus I believe that the movement helps work the stuff through. about 15 minutes after finishing the one liter it was potty time. I used a dab of Desitin on the old behind to keep from getting irritated and raw. A book of puzzles and my iPod helped a lot while sitting for about an hour.
My regimen was doing the first liter at 5:00PM and the second liter at 8:00PM. I liked doing both regimens in the evening versus waking up early in the morning and facing it all again for the second liter. I was up late in the night hitting the bathroom about every 1/2 hour until 2:00ish.
The colonoscopy procedure the next morning was nothing, I was in la-la land and completely unaware of it ... the wonders of modern anesthesia. Recovery was simple, about 1/2 hour before having my wife drive me home. I ate a huge lunch then fell asleep in a chair for about four hours. Easy-peasy.

The Movi Prep is not too bad at all. My first colonoscopy today and so I'm in the middle of my um "bowel prep". I did not have too much trouble getting the Movi Prep down last night and was on the toilet for about 4 hours off and on. I got a little "butt burn" but employed heavy use of baby wipes. The burn was not from the actual fluid, but more from wiping so darn much!
I still had some Movi Prep in my system this morning and I felt I needed to go around 6am. I learned a couple of things. The Gastro office said for me to drink the 2nd liter in the morning 3 hours before arriving. Knowing me and what I went through last night, I decided to get up and start my second liter 4 hrs before leaving the house.
While I feel the worst will be over in 2 hrs, I want to give myself another couple hours to make sure it is completely out of my system. I hate being in the car and feeling like I have to go. Also, as I sit here drinking my second liter, I'm doing it with a bottle of lemon lime gatorade and strong cup of black hazelnut coffee. I basically chug down 8 oz of the Movi, then take a swig of gatorade and a large sip of the coffee. The coffee seems to be very helpful for wiping the aftertaste away.
I agree with the previous poster about keeping it cold. Move Prep MUST be cold :)
